This castle was built in the 14th century and originally served a defensive function. When it lost its military importance, it was transformed into a Renaissance castle and, in time, a Baroque palace. The reason for the changes were several fires. As a result, the chateau became an inn, and in times much closer to us it was converted into social housing.

 

Rajsko Castle

 

Another place you must visit is Rajsko Castlewhich dates back to the second half of the Middle Ages. Also originally a fortress, the castle went through years of glory and decline. It was, among other things, a military site, a ruin, a youth hostel and a museum. Today the castle is open to the public. The shutters of the castle overlook the beautiful view overlooking the lake, which is just a few steps away. Castle is situated on an approximately 100-metre high rock and looks like a fairy tale. Combining this with the luxury the interiors provide, the name "Rajsko" sounds completely unintentional.
