Gondola lift and other ski resort attractions

An unquestionable attraction of Świeradów-Zdrój is the year-round rail gondola lift, operating as part of the Ski&Sun ski resort. The cableway is open all year round and is accessible for families with children and wheelchair users. In winter It takes skiers up the mountain, and in the summer, hikers and cyclists. There is plenty of room for everyone as there are 71 carriages with 8 seats in each. The route is more than 2 kilometres long and takes around 8 minutes one way. The lower station of the cable car is located at an altitude of 617 metres above sea level and the upper station at an altitude of 1060 metres above sea level, so the difference in altitude is 443 metres. Importantly, there are no age restrictions.

The gondola lift is only one of the many attractions of the Ski&Sun ski resort. In winter, there is a 2.5-kilometre-long illuminated and continuously snowed ski slope. New Sky Walk observation tower

A walk in the clouds - we do not know a child who would not jump for joy at the sound of this phrase. In Świeradów-Zdrój such a walk is very real, thanks to the new Sky Walk observation tower. It should be noted that it is the largest structure of its kind in Poland. It rises to a height of 60 metres, with the upper observation deck at around 55 metres. To get to the very top, one has to cross an 850-metre-long, gently winding footbridge.

The undoubted attraction of this observation tower is, at its top, a glass footbridge that allows you to levitate over the precipice - a perfect place for a selfie. Next to it, at a height of around 50 metres, there is a relaxation net on which you can lie down and rest or, in the case of children, jump. The youngest ones will certainly be delighted to slide down the 100-metre-long slide from the top. Before going on the Sky Walk, it is worth checking the current opening hours and bearing in mind that admission to the attraction is charged.

Swieradów-Zdrharing with children - dark sky park

The Izera Dark-Sky Park is a world phenomenon. It is worth taking the little ones there to give them the opportunity to admire the sky above Jizera Mountain, illuminated only by the glow of the stars. The progress of civilisation has meant that the sky, especially over larger cities, is so illuminated that stargazing is very difficult. This dark sky park, located on the border with the Czech Republic, was created to preserve the night sky, free from excess light. The experience of darkness, uncontaminated by urban lighting, will for children an incredible adventure.
