Cycling routes in Kołobrzeg for beginners

Before moving on, let's focus on less demanding routes that families with children can easily tackle. Let's start with the route through the western part of the city. The path leading from the Radzikowo housing estate to the beach goes through swampy areas and allotment gardens. The distance to be covered is less than a kilometre and a half, so you can drive from Radzikowo all the way down to the beach in just a few minutes. Equally a less demanding proposal is the route leading from the Lighthouse, through the Seaside Spa Park in Kolobrzeg. In this case, there is a distance of 3.5 kilometres to walk, which takes about 10 minutes. Both paths are paved.

Cycling through the Eastern Ecopark

A great place for an intermediate walk or bike ride is the Ekopark Eastern. To the forest separating Kolobrzeg from Podczelayou can take a route from the seaport, over the pier and along the seafront to the Eastern Ecopark. The tour will be extremely pleasant and enjoyable. On one side you will have view to the sea and sandy beaches, while on the other side are salt marshes. The route is partly paved and along the way you will find several descents to the beach and a rest point for cyclists, with shelters to protect them from wind and rain. Once you have enjoyed the delights of the Eastern Ecopark, you can continue your tour along the Eurovelo R-10 route. You can drive to Podczela or the small village of Sianożęty, located about 10 kilometres east of Kołobrzeg.. The route is not too demanding and is great for a family bike trip out of town.

Even further east of Kolobrzeg

Cyclists unanimously praise section of international R-10 route. It leads from the town, through the spa park, along the sea, through Podczele, Sianożęty, and on to Ustronie Morskie. After Ustron, the route turns into a forest road. You can take it to the lighthouse in G±ski, which is one of the highest lighthouses in Poland. The really experienced cyclists may be tempted to go to Mielno. The total length of the route from Kołobrzeg to Mielno is 38 kilometres. Taking into account stops to rest, admire the views and take photographs, it is worth reserving a whole day for this trip.

Cycling route Kołobrzeg - Dźwirzyno

This time, let's head west of the city. The route in question is just as popular as the cycle trail leading to the Eastern Ecopark. With a total length of 16.5 kilometres, it can be completed in less than an hour without any breaks. The asphalt road leading from Kołobrzeg to Dźwirzyn, through the village of Grzybowo, runs along the coastline, through forests and partly around former military sites.
